Our collaboration with Cornwall Housing has encompassed an array of extensive improvement, refurbishment, and new build projects, reflecting our commitment to enhancing residential spaces for the community.
Among the notable projects completed for Cornwall Housing are the phased refurbishment of 36 sheltered bungalows. This comprehensive endeavour included the replacement of kitchens, conversion of bathrooms into accessible wet rooms, internal layout modifications, installation of entrance doors and patios, as well as full redecoration, replacement flooring, and mechanical and electrical upgrades. The attention to detail and focus on accessibility and functionality have significantly improved the living standards for residents.
Additionally, our portfolio includes the construction of new semi-detached housing units, conversion of existing buildings into five modern apartments, and the transformation of a Listed Building into seven emergency accommodation units. These projects exemplify our versatility in adapting to diverse architectural challenges and historical preservation requirements. Of particular interest here were the passive fire protection measures necessary to be installed, all of which were undertaken by our own installers.
Furthermore, we have successfully upgraded 25 houses and flats acquired from the open market to meet Cornwall Housing Standards, ensuring that residents have safe and comfortable living environments that align with regulatory guidelines.
We are fortunate to be able to deliver much of the works using our in-house trades team, whilst also working with our subcontractors, all of whom are based in close proximity to the sites. This ensures we can remain competitive, flexible and adaptable at all times.
